What Are Dads Made Of? A Dad-Lib For Father’s Day

[dropcap]I[/dropcap] launched this blog, Fatherhood@Forty, three years ago on Father’s Day. At the time, my daughter was two months shy of her third birthday and I was still getting used to this thing called fatherhood.
The blog has come a long way since then. My writings have appeared on Fatherly, Scary Mommy, The Good Men Project, and HuffPost. I’ve appeared as a guest on podcasts and online talk shows, shot a YouTube video for Dove+Men Care, and read from the stage at one of my favorite conferences, Dad 2.0., as a Dad Blogger Spotlight Reader.
But most importantly to me, Fatherhood@Forty has become a platform for me to share my journey as a husband, ausome dad, and wingtip shoe enthusiast; connect and build community with other fathers; and use my voice to comment on social issues that concern me.
Blogging driven by authenticity feels very much alive.
Many articles have been written around the question, “Is blogging dead?” From my short three years as a blogger, I can emphatically say, “No.” Blogging driven by authenticity feels very much alive.
Recently the Mad Libs-inspired campaign “What are you made of?” by M.M.LaFleur, led me to make a Father’s Day version called, “What are dads made of?”
